Editor's Verdict:

Although perhaps not the most stylish of websites in its layout, BigChurch.com is a very easy to use site with lots of really great features. The search facility is especially good, and you can see a good-sized photo along with the last time each member was online in the search results - this is a good way of knowing how popular the site is in your local area. Unfortunately, as a standard member you cannot view any profiles - except the profiles of GOLD or SILVER members who choose to buy the extra feature of standard members being able to contact them. This, however, is the only major drawback to the site, and you can reply to messages from paying members who contact you first for free. The standard membership is easily one of the best available, as it enables you to get a good sense of the website without having to pay. And you can't complain about the paid membership prices, as they are some of the lowest available for Christian dating websites!

The features of Big Church are excellent - the range of chat rooms is good (many of its competitors only have a single chat room), especially if you are looking for a language-specific chat room (although the only ones available are English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Tagalog). The blogs and articles are a great way to interact with other members publicly if you aren't quite ready for private messaging, and there are several different ways of loading the instant messaging service - even one in html only, for members whose computers or internet-connections aren't of the most up-to-date variety!

The site caters to a huge range of different denominations within the Christian faith, including Adventist, Grace Gospel Fellowship, Armenian Evangelical Church, Brethren, Pillar of Fire, Pentecostal, Jehovah's Witnesses, Eastern Orthodox, Volunteers of America and many, many more - Big Church has easily one of the most complete list of denominations around, and you can search for just one specific denomination or for several at a time if you prefer (although this feature is only available to GOLD members).

The blogs, articles, groups and videos create a good atmosphere in which to get to know other Christian singles for friendship as well as dating. Perhaps all this might explain why Big Church has one of the largest member populations of any Christian dating site, at over 500,000 active members across the globe!
