The world is busier than ever, and with all the hubbub it can be hard to find your soul mate. Between work, family functions, meeting with friends and all of the daily ins-and-outs, there aren’t necessarily that many minutes in a day to start the hunt for a partner. If you’re Catholic, single and looking to meet someone like-minded, Catholic Singles might be the website for you.

It’s a site dedicated to helping single Catholics meet up in a friendly, accessible space online. They offer the usual features, such as building a profile, emailing members and talking over an instant messenger, but as a paying member you can also sign up for webinars, which is pretty unique.

Signing up is the first thing to do but, unfortunately, we ran into some issues. We entered all our information, which went smoothly, but then on completion we were told there was an error. We tried again but kept being sent straight to an error page. If you experience a similar problem then you may need to contact the customer support team to see what can be done. It’s quite frustrating, but hopefully things will be fine once you give it a try.

Your profile will contain most of the basic information that you’ll find on other dating sites, with a little extra information about your faith.

However, the general information and faith information could be developed further to give members a better idea of what you’re looking for. You can also upload pictures to show off your best side, and most members appear to have done so (though it isn’t a necessity).

Finding members is simple and you also receive recommendations based on the information you provided. Once you’ve found someone you’d like to speak with, you can send a message or ask to chat in an instant messenger. CatholicSingles.com also offer their paying members the opportunity to chat using their webcam during scheduled webinars.

Whilst this is useful, there are sites which allow you to chat via webcam whenever you prefer, and with whomever you wish to talk with. So, it’s a step in the right direction, but still somewhat limited. That’s not the end of the limitations with this site, unfortunately, as we felt that it could certainly improve its features to allow more of a community feel. 

Prices are about industry standard, although we’re not convinced the site offers great value for money because it needs to make a few improvements to compete with the big players in this market.

One benefit of CatholicSingles, however, is that it’s specifically for Catholics, whereas many of the other Christian Dating Websites we’ve reviewed have members of a much larger range of Christian faiths.

Those things considered, it’s free to sign up and explore the site (assuming you can get through the initial registration errors). Whilst it might not be hitting all the high notes, this site does offer enough to make it worth checking out if you’re a single Catholic looking to meet someone special.
