Established in 1996, LDS Singles is a safe, comfortable online community for single Latter Day Saints to find friendship and love. The website is stylish and easy to navigate, and boasts over 200,000 members from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia and around the world. The majority of its members tend to be from the USA, so if you're from outside the USA it's a good idea to spend some time using the search facility to find out how many desirable members you can find in your local area. Unlike some of its competitors, LDS Singles does not have a selection of membership packages from which to choose, you either have a paid membership or a free membership. This could make things easier and more straightforward for you; or you might prefer the choice that other websites offer.

LDS Singles allows non-paying members to use all the search facilities, so you can do some detailed research on who's online in your area before you pay for a subscription. The search facilities are useful and extensive, and the range of search options means you can look for detailed aspects of your future partner. Especially good is the 'Mission' option - with a very extensive list of different missions across the world, proving that at LDS Singles, your commitment to your religion and your expectations of your ideal partner are taken very seriously.

The message boards are also very good, with several different forums available, so you can talk to other LDS Singles members about loads of different topics. Surprisingly, there was only one forum on 'Spirituality', whereas other Christian dating websites tend to have several religion-based forums available. All the forums are widely used, giving the site a great community feel, and giving you the chance to get to know lots of like-minded people in a group setting. On top of this, the options for contacting other members are good - you can use live chat, instant messaging, LDS Singles Mail, and you can send and receive 'flirts'.

The subscription fees are good value for money, although it's not stated exactly what you get with your membership - the general idea is that you get 'full' access to the site and use of all its features, whereas the non-paying member gets only partial access. This means that you cannot send and receive messages with other members, or use the instant messaging or live chat services. Neither can you participate in the message boards, although you can read the opening post of each thread, which should give you a basic idea of the types of discussions started there.
