I am sorry if this review seems very biased toward the negative but that has been my experience on Christiancafe. I have a very unfavorable view of the site. It uses very clever but unscrupulous practices to lure vulnerable folks in on a free trial only to manipulate them into coughing up the cash as soon as the trial ends. My unscrupulous practices, I mean that after the free trial ended I actually received a bounty of emails from profiles that either had long been de-activated or were, perhaps, totally fictional. Also, to make matters worse, after I deleted my profile from the site, lo and behold, a little while later, I somehow pop up again on their site. I found my previously deleted profile on a search I did because of my suspicions. Therefore, I can only conclude that some profiles are kept and manipulated to entice new members to join and existing members to pay. I'm not sure if all profiles are kept and re-hashed this way or whether it is just the more attractive ones - either way, these types of business operations are far from anything that could be called Christian. I liked the layout but I didn't get the 10 free days promised. I was cut off 4 days early. I am finding that generally these sites require a lot of time and very little results. I am not unattractive, I am a good writer and think I portray myself as a committed Christian woman and am your average, well-rounded, happy, fun person. But I get very little contact from any of the three sites I belong to...well, 2 now that Christian Café cut me off. The thing that really did it was that I could not contact Christian Café to let them know that they had cut me off early. When I clicked on "contact us" it said I wasn't properly linked. Well, no, since you cut me off. No phone # which tells me I don't want to belong to this site because if I have technical difficulties, I can't call.

In summary, I would not recommend Christian Cafe to a friend.

I have been a member for several mos., but have nothing positive to say about the site. It is not user friendly. There are no contacts from the site when someone sends a member a message, etc. I must physically go to the site and review all the areas to verify if anyone has viewed my profile, sent a message, etc.

Also, the traffic is so low on the site that wks. will pass without even one contact. It is NOT worth the time nor the money.

In summary, I would not recommend Christian Cafe to a friend.

I have been a member of Christian Cafe for several months now. My best advice to you is to take advantage of the free trial to read a lot of the forums (which are fairly new but full of a lot of good advice, and also very telling of the frustration level of many of the members regarding lack of actual contact with appropriate Christians to date, a large number of men who are too backward to contact women, and a general tone of disappointment with the dating part but a lot of sentiment that the forums are a good place to perhaps find friends of the same sex or occasionally of the opposite sex). There are many heated debates, including some inappropriate labelling and name calling, and for a while there was a lot of outright nastiness and bullying in the forums, which the administrative staff finally (and I mean finally!!) stepped in to control. One man I know was kicked off but it was only after multiple people reported the abuse and it took a very loooonnnnggg time.
