As just about every review around the internet has described, the people who run this site are unfathomably extreme COMPLETE JERKS who do the EXACT OPPOSITE of Christ's teachings. It is mind-blowing how anyone can claim to represent Christianity, while obstinately completely rejecting how Christ said to treat others.

No matter how respectfully you treat everyone on the site, if you’re on there long enough you WILL eventually be banned for life, with no explanation for why, with no recourse, no discussion, no empathy, no compassion – they will treat you extremely coldly, as if you’re just a number, and as if you’re a bad person – but with no explanation why.

If you ask them to have compassion and work with you, ask for an explanation, ask to talk it out, they will simply reply that they’re “concluding this correspondence” and then ignore any further pleas for assistance, compassion, empathy. They are not Christians – they wholeheartedly reject how Jesus said to treat others. And they will do this to YOU if you’re on there long enough.

I even sent them a HAND-WRITTEN LETTER respectfully pleading with them to show some mercy and compassion, explaining that I didn’t know what... (Read the full review)

The customer support removed my profile just because I shared my e-mail address with a few members, which is nowhere prohibited in the terms of service.

They claim to have more than 1 000 000 profiles, but actually most of them are old and inactive.

On the positive note there are a few nice people there.

The members are the same for months and months, therefore, it is very hard to find a match. I find the site boring and definitely not worth the money. Stay away!

I am not surprised to read the other negative reviews. I also posted in the CM forums and I wouldn't be ultra- conservative, but not terribly liberal either. I didn't realise what an attack I would receive from the other forum browsers though. Very personal and upsetting. I reported it to the moderators, who did remove one particularly unpleasant post attacking my beliefs but that was all. I raised a 'help' ticket - which was responded to by the owners but they scrawled through my own posts until they found something vaguely unsatisfactory - which they said was a general statement of fact that was not supported by evidence ( except it was) and said I broke the rules by making a defamatory statement of the Church. I didn't attack Church teachings, just stated my own experiences. I was careful in how I wrote my posts so as not to fall foul of their draconian non- dissenting rules. They criticised me and did nothing to stop the personal attacks, which continued, I asked them to remove my forum posts, to stop the attacks, they would not do that either. In... The site was good a year or two ago. Now it is full of pretentious members who have been on there for ever. Gee I wonder why? If you criticize any of the nonsense in the forums you get a polite warning from Brian (one of the owners) putting you on probation. If you profess or discuss anything that the "moderators" (insert owners) disagree with they harass you and make the entire experience pointless and dispiriting. It was entirely reminiscent of high school nonsense with emails from members chastising your beliefs. Eventually if you do not acquese they cancel your membership. Its really childish and ridiculous. They even go so far as to cloak demeaning comments which are engineered to attack your opinions with false platitudes like "I will pray for you" if you happen to disagree with them. There are really no women on there truly looking for relationships. They get caught up on calling people sinner and fornicators if they kiss on first date. Nonsense like that . Just keep away. You and God know your conscious. You do not need a site of moderators to tell you how Catholic you are :-)

Out of all of the business that I've done both on the internet and in person, this website, catholic match was hands down the most unprofessional that I have ever dealt with in my entire life!! They are unreasonable and strict. They remove your account very easily on a hunch, then you can't get a hold of them unless you submit a "ticket." But they never get back to you on the ticket. Then when you do all of this research and finally find their contact number, they get rude and defensive as to why you contacted them about having your profile removed without clarification. The owner, Brian, talks down to you and treats you like you are in 3rd grade and is very "self-righteous." The whole website has no class at all and is completely unprofessional. After sucking in all of my money for being a paying customer on the site for 2 years, they suddenly remove my profile based on a hunch when all of the accusations were false. I am very very frustrated by what they did. Will not recommend this site to anyone!

P.S.--And by the way, I believe that the price has been... (Read the full review)
