I was always satisfied with CM for years until recently. It all started when they refused to let me move a photo to default. Several conversations ensued in which they totally contradicted their own policies no matter what proof I offered that they were not being fair. After I had entered this discussion they then fixed it so none of my previously approved photos were any longer approved to move. When I bring up points or questions of validity such as this one they ignore the questions or comments entirely. They now say none of my photos are approved for default instead of admitting all were until I asked to have a new one approved. This is manipulative & deceptive....unfair and dishonest.
They make condescending "polite" remarks rather than addressing the issues at all. Quite honestly I would like to know how to get them to operate fairly and properly and in a Christian manner. The encounters I have been having with them indicate an immaturity and a retaliatory demeanor. Since I have a lifetime membership and no longer pay I believe that they do not care at all about my thoughts. I believe they are forcing me to quit & then they do not have to deal with issues I bring up or support a lifetime membership, knowing if I came back I would have to pay.
My main complaint has been that they have many default photos that do not meet the criteria they continue to quote to me, yet do nothing about them while refusing to allow me to use similar & often much better photos in my default. They post defaults that are completely in adversity to what they tell me yet refuse to allow me to use far better photos. They say it must be a clear frontal head shot, yet in 5-10 min. I can give them numerous examples of photos not clear, not frontal, not a head shot.
My secondary complaint now is that they have retaliated by removing approval for shots previously approved. This is a childish response to a valid question. I don't think they do this to currently paying members who didn't get in on the lifetime membership. I recently read research indicating that the money is supporting things such as the gay lifestyle which is not a Biblical lifestyle to the majority of believers. This site is misrepresenting itself, and ripping people off morally if not in other ways.
Finally, I would assert, as I have to them, that why have strict photo criteria about angles when photos are not even required & they only enforce it with who they want to, and then unfairly? And, why allow people to conceal their faces with sunglasses & hats if they want "clear" photos.
This website is not only a disappointment, it clearly has a hidden agenda which is to make as much money as possible with as little effort as possible, try to look legitimate in the meantime, and to force people off who have paid for a lifetime membership if they raise issues.
In summary, I would not recommend Christian Mingle to a friend.
