LDS Mingle is a great website with a simple but sleek layout designed for Latter Day Saint singles to meet, chat to and maybe date new like-minded people. There is a large member base in the USA, with plenty members from the UK, Canada, Australia, and around the world as well. The membership fees are very reasonable, and as a non-paying member you get the chance to use the advanced search (available only to paying members on some dating websites) and find out how many members are online in your area before you sign up. As a free member you can exchange smiles with other members to initiate contact, but to read or reply to whole messages, use the instant messaging service or chat you'll need to pay first. As a non-paying member you can read around the (very popular) message boards and get a feel for the community base of LDS mingle, but to post you have to buy a subscription. All-in-all, the free membership is a really good service designed to allow you to really test the waters of the site to see if it's for you before you part with any money, which is just what you want from a trial membership!

The search facility is very good, and the fact that you can search very locally, up to 10 miles away from where you live, is excellent - especially if you're a bit limited as to how far you can travel to meet someone.

The profiles are very indepth, with lots of opportunity to put your heart and soul into your answers to some interesting questions. As you'd hope from an LDS-specific site, there are also several questions about your faith - such as your involvement with your church, your temple status and mission. This is a website that takes your dedication to your religion very seriously, as well as your desire to find an ideal partner as devoted to your faith as you are.

The test is designed to explore the motives behind your behavior patterns, and the result is a 'core color' that represents the type of person you are. The questions seem a little odd, but the test results are insightful, and the many success stories of LDS Mingle (plenty of which have resulted in marriage) show that this matching system is one that really works.
